Peijue has been interested in the fine arts since she studied at Shanghai Education college in 1980. After college she became an elementary school Chinese teacher. When she was a student in Heidelberg University she met her German husband who shares her passion for art and music.
Peijue loves the sensual atmosphere of impressionist paintings – landscapes that make you feel the warmth of summer or allow you to experience the mood of autumn. She is inspired by the clouds in the sky, waves breaking on the shore, the solitude of a deep forest… She much enjoys creating natural still lives as well.
Peijue lives with her family in Sugar Land, Texas since 1996, and if not painting she enjoys singing, dancing, and flower arrangements – Her special love is cooking, preparing food that is not only delicious but also looks beautiful. You can see a selection of her visual art and cooking here!
